weather report

its not raining here today
its sunning and quite mild
a lovely spring day

it doesn't change my mind though

baby steps

a bit behind on the posting so a bit of filling in is needed.

over the weekend the boy and the girl spent a good bit of time discussing adventures
they are both now very excited.

got a few guide books to work on the destination research
so far we have: rough guide first time around asia
rough guide first time around south america
rough guide first time around the world
lonely planet east africa guide
the backpackers bible
lonely planet india

assorted travelogues by the usual suspects

result of all this research.........
........
....
.we want to go everywhere

back to square one

todays idea is maybe to head for thailand and teach english and then use it as a base to spend two or 3 months at a time visiting all the other parts of asia but returning 'home' to thailand each time.

i dont know all the ideas sound like good ones at the moment.

dirty

there's a city i know where every day the average person is confronted with a quite sizeable minority or what one could call 'the great unwashed'

dirty and in unwashed clothes they batter their way through the streets of this city, pushing a buggy with one hand, a cigarrette hanging from the mouth and a filthy food stained minor or two trailing behind by the wrist.

just as they pass you they decide to raise their decibel emissions to environmentaly unsound levels to becon to a person of the same genus across the street in the most profane language they can muster.

i dont object to people that are poor and less fortunate then me but the thing is that water is free and it takes even less effort to have dignity than it dos to wash.

this is my city, my home

welcome to dublin

i can't wait to wash the dirt from my feet.

on office day dreams

it's sunny outside
im inside

its too warm inside
its cold outside

i can see into the park
i can't go into the park

there's a plane overhead
i'm not on it

everybody i meet on my lunch break speaks my language

i understand the politics & interests of the people i encounter

all the above will be remedied
